Terms and Conditions for CEIBS Mentoring Program

 

CEIBS Code of Ethics

CEIBS is committed to learning and the advancement of knowledge and to the development of ethically responsible leaders in an international environment. It is the collective responsibility of faculty, students, alumni, mentors, administration and staff to foster an environment of honor and trust within the CEIBS community. All members of the CEIBS community are expected to strive to serve as exemplars of ethical excellence through respect for oneself and others, honesty in one’s words and actions, and the acceptance of responsibility for one’s conduct at all times. All members of the CEIBS community shall uphold and actively support the Code of Ethics, voluntarily follow national laws and regulations as well as rules and policies established by CEIBS, and act according to the society’s ethical standards, so as to foster and promote a civilized, orderly, graceful, and safe learning and living environment.

As a mentor involved in the CEIBS Mentoring Program, I fully understand and accept the following terms:

The following Rules, taken together, constitute a Code of Conduct intended to provide mentors with a standard of ethical behavior and professional competence based on respect, honesty, responsibility and integrity.

Each mentor is expected to participate in related mentoring activities through intelligent preparation, active engagement and completely honesty during all meetings and activities.
Each mentor is expected to respect the individual and property rights of others in all work and dealings, whether within CEIBS or with the rest of the world, whether in personal or professional activities. This includes not coercing or forcing mentees into any employment against their consent.
Mentors are expected to adhere to the highest standard of ethical conduct and behave in a socially responsible manner in all of their professional and business activities. Mentors are also expected to protect themselves from any perceived unethical or unprofessional behaviors.
Each mentor is expected to serve at all times as an accomplished professional representative of CEIBS -- a premier business school in Asia -- demonstrating courtesy and consideration to all.
Mentors are not permitted to have any behaviors of bodily harm, sexual harassment or assault, threats of bodily harm or sexual harassment or assault, verbal/written insults and aggression.
Mentors are not permitted to initiate, aid, encourage or engage in any behaviors that are of a discriminatory nature in terms of (including but not limited to) race, ancestry, place of origin, color, ethnic origin, citizenship, age, creed, sex, sexual orientation, marital status, family status, handicap, etc. or other behaviours that may damage the reputation of CEIBS or any of its community members.
Each mentor is expected to know, understand and comply with all CEIBS Rules and Regulations.
Each mentor must read all communications/materials from the CEIBS MBA Office.
If the mentor breaches any of the provisions of this Agreement, the School may: cancel his/her participation in the “CEIBS Mentoring Program”.
